BAND
This is the home of iconic Australian rock band 1927.
Known for enduring hits such as 'That's When I Think of You', 'Compulsory Hero', 'To Love Me', 'Scars', 'Don't Forget Me', and of course, 'If I Could', 1927 made a devastating entry into the ears of its listeners with the Quintuple Platinum selling album '…ish' in 1988, which earned the band a number of ARIA awards as well as a lot of fans along the way.
Having followed up '…ish' with the multi platinum second album 'The Otherside', a self-titled third album, and countless live shows at home and abroad, the last couple of decades have earned 1927 legendary status.

THE ANSWERS... TO THE QUESTIONS...
#1 HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THE NAME?
“We were only weeks away from releasing the bands first single "That's When I Think Of You" and still had no band name that everyone could agree on. From memory some of the names that had been suggested were - Out Of The Blue, RX, Sanity Clause and 1927. The solution was to throw the lot into a hat and draw one out. 1927 was it. ” - 1927
#2 WHAT DOES 1927 MEAN?
“1927 came from something that was said around the studio during the recording of "…ish". "haven't heard you play so well since 1927…" etc. Food, dress sense, refreshments, farts - everything was fair game.” - 1927
#3 WHAT DOES ...ISH MEAN?
“That was another stupid thing doing the rounds during the recording of that record. "Oh that was good…ish…" or simply "…your vocal is sounding kinda …ish…" (not quite there). Then of course when asked what kind of band 1927 was the only honest reply was "rock…ish or pop…ish or… you get the idea.” - 1927
